LET’S RATTLE THE CAGE - The unanswered questions in life

LET’S RATTLE THE CAGE

The unanswered questions in life

Stes de Necker

For the inquisitive mind, some questions will always remain unanswered in this life.

Here are a few I find rather intriguing:

(Would love to hear some of your unanswered questions and/or your comments)

(1) The Big Bang Theory
As much as I would like to accept the ‘Big Bang’ theory as the beginning or the creation of the universe, I have one problem with it.
Explosions (bangs) take place somewhere,... in a particular place or area.
Any explosion that didn’t happen somewhere, simply didn’t happen.
So where did the Big Bang took place ..... in which ‘other space’ or place...or universe ...?
Or what do you think....?

(2) Eternity
Eternity does not only mean the 'eternal future', but it also means the 'eternal past'.
When 'eternal future' therefore means there can never be an end, 'eternal past' must means there could never have been a beginning.
We therefore, cannot 'go into eternity'. We are already in the eternity.
The question is, which eternity..? The eternity of Heaven or the eternity of Hell?
Or what do you think...?

(3) Sound
Sound, or sound waves, are atmospheric waves that gets picked up by our ears and these 'impulses' are registered in our brains as sound.
The sound wave is not sound. Our brains interpreted it as sound.
This means that 'outside' our brains and ears, there is no sound.
The world outside our brains and ears is dead silent!
Or what do you think ...?

(4) Colour
Like in the case of sound, colour is 'light waves' which is registered by our eyes and interpreted by our brains as colour.
As in the case of sound, the light wave has no colour: our brains interpreted the wave as a particular colour.
This also means that 'outside' our brains and eyes, there exist no colour.
The world outside our eyes and brains is an absolute colourless environment.
Or what do you think ...?

(5) We can physically look into the past.
The Alpha Centauri star system is the closest stars to earth.
Alpha Centauri A and Alpha Centauri B are approximately 4.37 light years away, while the third star in the Alpha Centauri system, Proxima Centauri, is about 4.24 light years away.
One light year is the distance that light will travel in one year.
This means that if you look at Alpha Centauri tonight, (Alpha Centauri A and B is visible with the naked eye), you see it as it looked like 4.37 years ago, because that was when the light that you see now, has left the star 4.37 years ago.
Or what do you think...?

6. The Holy ‘Trinity’
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God is a Holy 'Trinity', i.e. one trinity consisting of God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Which would be more correct, 'trinity' or ‘trilogy’....?
Or what do you think....?

7. What would you take with you ....
If God would allow you to take only one thing (not another person or human being - something material) with you to heaven the day you die, what would that one thing be?

What would you choose?
